Peace Pole at Buddha Jewel Monastery, Seattle Washington, USA

A beautiful sculptured Peace Pole has been planted on April 28th, 2009 at the Buddha Jewel Monastery in Seattle Washington.
Today, May 3, 2009 was the first public event in celebration of Buddha’s Birthday at the Monastery since the Peace Pole was planted a few days ago. 
Here is the link to the photo album of one of the Zen Masters at the Monastery, Master Jian Du, that shows the construction and final placement of the Peace Pole in Chinese and English, with three sides remaining for additional languages in the future.
