Peace Pole Dedication at Rigi-Klösterli-Switzerland on August 8, 2008
30 participants at Mount Rigi in Switzerland attended a one week seminar in the Rigi-Klösterli Hotel. At the end of their seminar, on August 8th 2008, they all celebrated that special day with a summer festival and planted a Peace Pole to remind them about peace and understanding on this planet. As it was during the season of Olympic Games in Beijing,
the Swiss participants found a Peace Pole to be a great visual symbol for the communication between countries and peace.
The message, May Peace Prevail On Earth, placed on 4 sides in English,German, Italian and French for their Peace Pole, these are the languages spoken in Switzerland. The white Swiss Peace Poles are carpentered in a Swiss Home for handicapped people.
