Peace Pole of Degersheim-SWITZERLAND
August-2013
The Catholic Church in Switzerland reports on its website “kath.ch” about a Peace Pole planted in 2012 in the Swiss village of Degersheim.
According to the article the local priest gave an impressive speech.
Immigrants from Albania, Kosovo and Eritrea, whose families currently reside in Switzerland, gave speeches during the Peace Pole dedication Ceremony. The German translation of “May Peace Prevail on Earth” on this Peace Pole is the local dialect spoken around Degersheim. The online article also mentions the Founder of The World Peace Prayer Society, Mr Masahisa Goi and that the Swiss-handcrafted Peace Poles (wood painted in white colour) are all produced in an ecovillage in Degersheim named “Senrueti.”
