Eight language Peace Pole for MLK Day at Oriole Elementary School, Lauderdale Lakes, Florida – USA

The Peace Pole planting dedication ceremony took place in conjunction with the Peace Garden, 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Oriole Elementary School, Lauderdale Lakes, FL; facilitated through the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Grant and with more than 150 in attendance.
Those in attendance included the mayor, vice-mayor, city commissioners and staff of Lauderdale Lakes; President of Broward College North Campus and staff; General Manager and Supervisors of Home Depot-Oakland Park Store; Assistant Principal and staff of Oriole Elementary School and the President and members of Chi Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
The Peace Pole in 8 languages is the home to 600 students from several different countries.
