Rotary District 5100, most active District worldwide-plant Peace Poles in Oregon-USA
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie, Oregon, along with the Jubitz Family Foundation, planted and/or dedicated the next 5 of 30 Peace Poles on Friday, April 21, 2017. This coincided with Rotary Clubs planting over 130 Peace Poles, around Rotary District 5100, on that date.
The Peace Poles were planted and dedications were made at:

David Potts, Peacebuilding chair of the Rotary Club of Milwaukie, stated “With so much conflict around us, we hope these Peace Poles will cause people to take pause and to contemplate what they can do to help make this a more peaceful world, as peace begins with each of us.”
Potts was joined at the Peace Pole plantings and dedications by Rotarians Phil James, Brad Olson, Bob Palandech, and George Peters, as members of the Peacebuilding committee of the Rotary Club of Milwaukie.
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie plans to plant a total of 30 Peace Poles, around the Milwaukie area, over the next 3 years, at all the public schools in the Milwaukie School District, as well as churches, parks and local businesses.
Rotary District 5100, including Northern Oregon and Southwestern Washington, is the most active Rotary District, worldwide, in promoting peace. Rotary Past District Governor Michael Caruso and Rotarian Al Jubitz lead the peacebuilding efforts for District 5100. Caruso and Jubitz also actively promote peacebuilding to other Rotary districts, worldwide.
The Rotary Club of Milwaukie meets Tuesdays at noon at the Odd Fellows Hall in downtown Milwaukie, 10282 SE Main Street.
