Peace Pole planted in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of CANADA

Hello, I wanted to share with you how I have displayed my Peace Pole.

I first saw the Peace Poles while travelling in Southeast Asia earlier this year. I saw one at a temple in Chang Mai, Thailand, as well as at the Viet Nam War Museum, and also in Cambodia. When I came home to Canada, after the trip, I knew I needed one.

As you may or may not know, Canada celebrated it’s 150th birthday on July 1, 2017. I ordered the Peace Pole and it arrived in time for me to “plant” it in my front garden, as my birthday gift to Canada.

We didn’t have an actual dedication ceremony, but we loved sitting in the yard this summer, showing the Peace Pole to friends and neighbours.

Now that fall is here,  I can sit in my favourite easy chair, look out the window, see it, and think about ways to spread peace in my little corner of the world.
