Global Peace Pole Day November 22, 2021
Global Peace Pole Day was celebrated on November 22nd marking the 105th birthday of the late founder Masahisa Goi. Hundreds of friends and supporters from the world over gathered online to participate in this festive occasion. Simultaneous interpretation from English to Japanese was offered on zoom for the many members who tuned in from Japan to celebrate this special day.
The program opened with greetings by Hiroo and Masami Saionji, President and Chairperson of May Peace Prevail On Earth International followed by an Origin Story video of the legacy of the late Masahisa Goi. Heartfelt messages from Peace Pole Ambassadors representing each of the seven continents uplifted and inspired the viewers. The passionate stories of each speaker were a testament to the power of peace poles and the message they carry, May Peace Prevail On Earth.
The multimedia celebration full of music, slideshows and videos blessed this joyous online festivity and concluded with an invitation to visit the Virtual Peace Pole Map on our homepage (www.worldpeace.org) to add a Peace Pole you have planted or have spotted and also to plant a virtual peace pole anywhere in the world where peace is needed in the world.
