Peace Pole unites Switzerland, Germany and Austria
October 3rd, 2009
On October 3rd, 2009, another Peace Pole was planted within the circle of my “Energy for Peace” friends in Austria.
The Peace Pole was planted in a little town named Wolfurt in the vicinity of Lake Bodensee which is an area that unites Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
The Peace Pole was crafted by a local Austrian artist. To honor the diversity within our world, the Peace Pole was crafted by using 4 different types of wood, which is clearly visible when one views each of the four sides.
The Peace Pole was dedicated to Soma from Sierra Leone, who was working in Wolfurt for over 3 months in the local “One World Shop” (on the occasion of a “North-South-Study-Partnership Programme).
The languages placed on the Peace Pole include: English for the Soma people and Turkish and Serbo-Croatian, where many of the Immigrants in Germany and Austria come from.
May Peace Prevail On Earth!
