Peace Pole Planting in Schaffhausen Switzerland-September 13, 2008
Mr. Max Leu celebrated his 50th birthday by planting a Peace Pole in the center of his home town Schaffhausen on September 13th 2008.
Schaffhausen is very close to the border to Germany on the shore of Lake Constanz. The Peace Pole features the official languages of Switzerland: German, French and Italian, 4th language is English. The white wooden Peace Pole was crafted by the Tannacker Foundation in Switzerland. Next to the Peace Pole you see a sign quoting Black Elk`s wisdom of the Lakota Indians together with a wonderful Chinese saying, to include a blurb about the worldwide Peace Pole Project.
