Whitestone Hill Healing Horse Ride 2023

August 28th – September 3rd, 2023

The Whitestone Hill Massacre occurred in 1863.  The three day massacre of the Dakota peoples by the United States Army took place September 3-5 during which time hundreds of men, women and children were killed in the Dakota Territories known as Whitestone Hill.  

A Healing Horse Ride is organized as a remembrance to honor the ancestors and for the healing of all those who died during this tragic massacre.  On the 160th anniversary, a delegation from Japan and May Peace Prevail On Earth International attended the Whitestone Hill Healing Horse Ride to commemorated the event with a Peace Pole.  

The Peace Pole carries the peace message in the languages of Dakota, Nakota, Lakota and English.
