Peace Pole on IDP 2023 at Baia Mare International High School, Baia Mare, ROMANIA

On World Peace Day, the “Children for children – Children for peace” Foundation organized with the support of the Maramureș County Council an artistic manifesto for peace and placed the peace pillar.
On Wednesday, September 20, in the hall of the Administrative Palace in Baia Mare, the plastic art exhibition “Let there be peace on earth” was opened in a festive setting, opened by Rodica Pop, the president of the Foundation “Children for children – Children for peace”.
The students of the “Nicolae Iorga” Secondary School in Baia Mare and the Cernești Secondary School sent messages of peace and presented a memorable artistic program.
The exhibition includes the works of students from schools and high schools in Maramureș County, as well as established plastic artists, the painter Alexandru Zana from Bucharest, the sculptors Bebu Dura and Paul Covaci from Baia Mare, the first-year master students from the University of North Baia Mare, : Joldos Janina, Mureșan Gheorghe, Mihai Ioan, Giesswein Maria, Mureșan Mirela, Toader Iulia Cornelia, Cormos Daniel and Kadarioana Olandra.
On Thursday, September 21, in a special setting in the yard of Baia Mare International High School, the “Peace Pillar” was placed, where high school students sent emotional messages, recited poems and songs. Before the inauguration of the Pillar of Peace, dozens of pigeons, the messengers of peace, were released.
The pillar contains the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in eight languages.
