Peace Pole dedicated in the capital city of Africa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – AFRICA

To mark Ethiopia’s annual ‘National Peace Day’ a Peace Pole was dedicated in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on September 8th, 2022, by the Addis Ababa City Administration. Peace Avenue was also named on this occasion.
The Peace Pole was dedicated by the Mayor of Addis Ababa City, Adanech Abebe, and inaugurated by H.E. Mrs. Sahle-Work Zewde, the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The Minister of Peace of Ethiopia H.E. Binalf Andualem also attended the inauguration ceremony along with other invited guests. Addis Ababa is the home of the African Union it is referred as the capital city of Africa.
Ethiopia set a good example to Africa and the rest of the world by establishing the Ministry of Peace and the first big public Peace Pole.
May Peace Prevail On Earth International, Peace Representative and Regional Director of URI-Africa, Ambassador, Mussie Hailu of Ethiopia was instrumental in bringing the proposal years back to the dedication of the Peace Pole in Ethiopia, at the African Union, and in a different part of Africa.
