Peace Representative News: Peace Pole in Kathmandu, Nepal
April 27, 2009 “World without Peace Is Something like a Body without Soul”
We are all very much aware that the world is changing rapidly but all the changes are not for peace, therefore, peace is now the overriding concern of all the people of the world.
Nepal is a country of multi-ethnic groups with their own religions, cultures, language and lifestyle. So, it is irrational to have different opinions. However, in Nepal, violence has created an adverse effect in the normal routine of life for its people and clearly stresses the need for peace.
Certainly, if we fail to create a peaceful society, we will be humiliated by our future generation. So, peace has become the aspiration of the people of Nepal as well as the people throughout the world. Keeping the view of the converging point of all these differences is Peace.
A Peace Pole has been planted in the Terrace Park of Dholahiti, Lalitpur as a medium to play for the transformation of our society, community and country into peace.
Certainly, the Peace Pole carrying the message and prayer, May Peace be in Nepal and May Peace Prevail On Earth is simply a vision, a message and a prayer and when spoken can have a positive influence on one’s perspective for the betterment of humanity. Again, as a person repeats the message May Peace Prevail On Earth he/she will get the feeling of being powerful and that power will help them to live harmoniously. I am fully confident that the Peace Pole acts as a bridge between Peace and People and plays a significant role in creating peace in Nepal and in the world.
May Peace Prevail On Earth!
