Peace Pole in Mutlangen, Germany
May 2nd, 2009
The members of the ‘Peace and Encounter Society’
in Mutlangen, Germany, met to celebrate their 25 years of existence.
Through various projects, this Society works for a world without
nuclear power and is well known throughout Germany.
Together with the Mayor of Mutlangen and a Deputy of the Germany
Bundestag (Lower House of Parliament) 35 people gathered to plant a Peace Pole
that was crafted by their local craftsman at the Waldorf School.
The English banner in the photograph was prepared in Geneva to be used at a conference in New York in 2010 about ‘a world without nuclear weapons.’
