Peace Pole planted on Tour – AUSTRALIA
December-2010
Dear Friends,
In early December I joined 14 people on a Peace Tour to Central Australia and to Perth in Western Australia. Many in the group had visited our property, “Wind Song”, in Tasmania in 2008 and they generously gave and planted a Peace Pole in our garden. This year they brought 2 Peace Poles, 1 for Uluru (Ayers Rock) and 1 for Perth.
I was given the task of finding a ‘home’ for these Peace Poles and after many emails, phone calls, etc., I was very excited when I received confirmation that our Aboriginal people had accepted these wonderful gifts. My other task was to find the right language for “May Peace prevail on Earth” given that there are over 300 languages!
At Uluru the Peace Pole will eventually be ‘planted’ on land where the Anangu people are establishing a teaching centre based on the Kanyini principles “of peace and love with responsibility, sharing and caring, in oneness” – what beautiful principles to live by. I am grateful to Dorothea Randall for bringing some of her people to meet us and to accept the gift of the Peace Pole.
Infinite love, peace, harmony and happiness,
Tom Teniswood
