Poem entitled: The Peace Pole–by Andrew Benson-SIERRA LEONE
Anywhere you find this Peace Pole,
War shall never lend its toll,
For this might be a rare story ever told
By peace lovers of old.
We must all strive to plant Peace Poles
In every corner of the globe,
For war will never be brave or bold
To confront this powerful Peace Pole.
Any where you erect this Peace Pole,
War shall never lend its toll
For war shall never be brave or bold
In the aura and serenity of this mighty Peace Pole
Like prayers that ward off the devil
Whenever it is said in the midst of evil,
War shall never be brave or bold
To challenge this magnificent Peace Pole.
And every seed of peace we sow in the globe,
Will surely grow with the Peace Pole.
