Peace Pole’s Journey from WPPS Headquarters to Baghdad – IRAQ

A Peace Pole from the World Peace Sanctuary in Amenia, NY (in Dutchess County) was brought to Baghdad by the Hudson Valley Peace Brigade with the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in English, Arabic, French and Japanese as a gesture of peace and friendship from the people of the Hudson Valley.

Local Iraqi family participated in the ceremony at the inner garden of the UNDP courtyard in Baghdad which was hosted by UNDP Resident Representative, Francis Dubois. Mssr. Dubois is on the Board of Trustees of the Dubois House, an historic landmark in New Paltz.
